Worldwide Cancer Research’s new website has created a step-change in the small but mighty charity’s digital presence, already raising more money to start more cancer cures.

Our vision is to see a day when no life is cut short by cancer. We know that to succeed in our goal, we must start new cancer cures – by expanding our global search, funding more research projects, and increasing our impact in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. This simply wouldn’t be possible without our fast-growing community of supporters, researchers, funding partners, and employees – who we collectively call our Curestarters.

Our new and improved website is a creative collaboration with our Curestarters that brings to life the impact of funding bold discovery research and makes it easier for our supporters to continue to back our visionary scientists around the world. We wanted to provide strong user experience, and an eye-catching, secure, trusted source of knowledge for anyone affected by cancer.

“We’re thrilled that our supporters have played such a key role in bringing this to life. Without our amazing Curestarters the vital research that Worldwide Cancer Research funds across the world would not be possible. We wanted to ensure that their voices were heard to create an engaging platform that meets their needs and improves their experience. This is such an exciting time for us, and our website marks a step-change in our ability to reach more people, inspire them to act, and start new cures for cancer.”

Amy Gunn, Head of Marketing and Supporter Experience at Worldwide Cancer Research

Working with brand and digital agency Yoyo, we improved the overall look, supporter journey, and donation capabilities of the website, as well as creating a new section dedicated to explaining cancer and research, with every article assessed by cancer experts before publication.

Our Curestarters told us that they wanted to see the impact donations are having on cancer research, which is why they will now find searchable articles, as well as an in-depth report highlighting our biggest discoveries.

By giving people easy access to the answers that they are searching for, we hope that we can build on the trust and loyalty we have with our supporters, as we continue to explore new cancer cures together.

“The new Worldwide Cancer Research website is a flagship website in Yoyo’s portfolio, on every level, and delivers an engaging and supportive online experience for fundraisers, people affected by cancer and the research community. It elevates the charity’s standing in digital and raises the bar in the sector. We have loved the charity’s approach to our partnership from the very beginning, with closely aligned values and working styles, and we are honoured to be part of their ambitious journey.”

Anna Dixon, Head of Client Strategy at Yoyo

Our new website is a testament to our mission, values and ambition and it is now the key driving channel in our work to fund more research into any type of cancer, anywhere in the world. We would like to thank all of our supporters and researchers who make everything we do possible, and Yoyo for their exceptional expertise and strong partnership approach.

We hope that all of our Curestarters are as pleased with our new website as we are. None of the innovative research brought to life on this new website would be possible without them.
